Bonfire Night Hog Roast in Uttoxeter!

Bonfire Night Fun!

This weekend we had a number of events booked to celebrate Bonfire Night! Tradition says that on 5th November 1605, Guy Fawkes was foiled as he plotted to destroy the Houses of Parliament during its state opening, and kill all inside it, including the King at the time, James I, this became known as the Gunpowder Plot and saw the tradition of fireworks and bonfires start. Guy was just 35 when he died, by avoiding his execution by public hanging, he jumped from the scaffold, breaking his own neck!  And that’s where it all started!

One of our events was to celebrate Bonfire Night along with a special birthday and we offered our traditional hog roast in Uttoxeter with the selection of salads including our Tomato And Mozzarella Salad, Spring Green Leaf Salad, Home Made Gourmet Coleslaw, Herb Dressed New Potatoes along with our Home Made Vegetarian Option. The client also opted to add in Jacket Potatoes and a selection of Smoked Salmon to increase the range of food for his guests. We also provided tea and coffee for the guests to keep warm with!

The night was a spectacular show of fireworks, celebration and of course delicious hog roast Uttoxeter food and we received a number of comments about the food and what a great night everyone had. It was great that the rain kept off and our team had a few cups of warm tea to keep themselves warm too! A great night was had by all and it was a pleasure to work at this event!
