The weather on Saturday could not have been better at Taten Hill for the birthday of Mark, this allowed 30 friends and family to gather and celebrate together. With the sun shining it had everyone in high spirits, allowing everyone to relax and sit outside whilst eating their delicious hog roast. The traditional Hog is cooked slowly for 8 hours before the event to allow perfection of the pork, this was accompanied by beautifully cooked crackling, stuffing, apple sauce, soft white cobs as well as a selection of crisp fresh green leaf salads, tomato and mozzarella with a side of coleslaw and herby, dressed new potatoes. The desserts proved to be a massive hit with all the guests and were all polished off nicely. These included the delicious Chocolate Torte and one of our all-time favourites the Lemon Tart – all served with cold cream.
There were many compliments to be had by all the guests, there were talks on how attentive the staff were, suggesting how tender the meat was and showing their appreciation for the lovely feast they had just devoured. We really did have a full marquee of very happy, full guests!
