Come the festive season, there is so much focus on the traditionally enjoyed roasted meats, such as turkey, ham, or even pigs in blankets, that it can become a tad ostracising for our vegetarians and vegans out there. Everyone wants to enjoy the festivities all the same, but when it comes to the workplace night out and picking somewhere for your festive feast, the options of vegetarian and vegan diets can become severe limited. When it comes to Hog Roast Buxton festive dining however, that is not the case. Even though we are a roast dining caterer at our core, and therefore might also be seen as one that would disregard veggie and vegan diets largely, at Hog Roast Buxton we want everyone to be able to share in the same festive spirit. That is why, along with our turkey and ham options, we put an equal amount of care and attention to our veggie and vegan options. You’re not going to be limited to the bog standard ‘risotto’ veggie option here at Hog Roast Buxton – the bane of just about anyone who’s ever partaken in a vegetarian or vegan diet. Instead, you could look forward to our famous BBQ pulled jackfruit – marinated in plenty of hickory BBQ sauce and slowly simmered with the same care as our staple hog roast – or our colourful, fresh and delicious grilled veg and halloumi skewers. A good bit of cheese works well with the festive menu, or our jackfruit will give you all the same tastes of our hog roast without any meat even needing to touch the table.
Along with our veggie mains, you’ve also got plenty of veggie friendly festive sides on our menu, such as cauliflower cheese, roast potatoes, glazed carrots and sprouts with green beans and peas.
