On the 5th of July, Hog Roast Abney catered for a wonderful and exciting event to celebrate Jonathan and Claire’s marriage, since the pair got married secretly several days before! This was a great event and our team was looking forward to getting to work, since there is nothing better than making a couples wedding dream turn into reality! The event took place at the beautiful Hilltop Cottage in Hope Valley, with 55 guests invited to celebrate with the couple. For the catering, our manager Martin was hired to serve our incredible Southern Slow Roast menu as an evening buffet, which was sure to go down a treat.
On the day of the event, the Hog Roast Abney team arrived at the picturesque venue in the morning and began slow-roasting our main dishes. This included our whole-roasted Cajun-spiced chickens, a 24-hour BBQ pork butt, and our succulent minted lamb. When the meats were expertly carved and served to the guests, they were accompanied by a selection of fresh bread rolls and wraps. Additionally, we served grilled vegetable and halloumi skewers for vegetarian guests, with no halloumi for any vegan guests. For the side dishes, we provided gourmet coleslaw, sweet potato fries, homemade chips, and a fresh Greek salad. Overall, our dishes combined to create a delicious and varied evening meal, with plenty for the guests to enjoy. Our catering was a great addition to the wedding party and it was great to see Jonathan and Claire celebrating their union with all of their friends and family!
