At the weekend the Hog Roast Wolverhampton headed out to a wedding venue that is very near and dear to our heart, for a wedding event that was as spectacular as the location.
We’re talking, of course, of the famed Cowshed at Woodhall Farm. A place that combines the rustic feel and authenticity of its past with a more modern update, Woodhall Farm is an excellent venue for a wedding. Our dining is much the same as the Cowshed in that it is also an experience that is classically rustic, steeped in history, though now comes with its modern update thanks to our very own mobile roasting machines.
So to come out to this venue again was a real joy, helped along by a brilliant wedding ceremony and reception celebrating the wedding of the new Mr and Mrs Fanthom. To mark the occasion, Head Chef Martin and the rest of the Hog Roast Wolverhampton team geared up with our very best barbecues (which also happen to be our hog roasting machines), a selection of the best British farm meat and ingredients on the market, and a readiness to craft a truly special wedding experience once more.
Were it up to us, we would have asked for a little more sun and heat to coincide with our summer barbecue dining, but in catering you cannot always have it all. What we can be thankful for is a dry day with just enough sun to make working plenty pleasant, especially out in the stunning grounds of the Cowshed at Woodhall Farm. A perk of the job always when we come out to these spectacular venues in the UK, the Cowshed was a perfect venue for our barbecue to really flourish – sun or no sun.
Mr and Mrs Fanthom and 60 guests lined up to enjoy a very special Hog Roast Wolverhampton menu: gourmet burgers, butcher’s sausages, chicken kebabs, marinated ribs, a green leaf salad, Martin’s own pasta salad, chips, grilled halloumi, and vegetarian sausages. A perfect menu, served at a perfect venue, to accompany a perfect wedding – you can’t ask for much more as a caterer or a bride and groom!
