Time marches on when you’re having fun. One minute you’re at school surrounded by the best group of friends you’ll ever know, the next it is several decades on and life has taken over from all of the mad hijinks that you used to get up to. Still, with catering from Hog Roast Middlewich available at any time, there’s always plenty opportunity to go back to those days if even just for one evening or afternoon.
And that is exactly what happened last weekend with “The Mad Haters” – old friends from school who put together a brilliant old school reunion to once again get the band back together and relive those glory days. To add to the day, they also ordered for Hog Roast Middlewich’s stylish catering to really bring those memories on home for this extra special reunion event.
We also happen to find ourselves several decades on from the “good old days”, where Hog Roast Middlewich was just a very small team of friends doing their best to cobble together an event catering service. We’ve certainly come a long way since then, but it is still fun to think about those days and cherish the memories that took us to here. That is exactly the kind of sentiment that pervaded this reunion event, as 70 ex school mates came together to share life updates, reminisce on the old times, and, most of all, enjoy Hog Roast Middlewich’s traditional catering.
For their dining pleasure, head chef Martin prepared our famous hog roast to go along with fresh chips, sweet potato fries, sage and onion stuffing, crispy golden crackling, fresh apple sauce, creamy slaw, tomato and mozzarella salad, BBQ pulled jackfruit, and seasonal leafy greens. The fun didn’t stop with our dining, however, as “The Mad Haters” group proved that old friendships and habits die hard. Plenty of laughs, hijinks, and dancing followed suit, as the Hog Roast Middlewich team packed up and left the party to (no doubt) go long into the evening, if not night!
Our thanks for having us along for such a great event. We’ll be around for the next one, assuming it doesn’t come long overdue this time!
