What’s better than one birthday celebration? Two, obviously!
At Hog Roast Chesterfield we had the privilege this past weekend to cater for both Pat and Phil for their very special joint 70th birthday party. Double the birthdays; double the fun! To mark this exceptional celebration, Phil and Pat brought out 50 of their friends and family to join them, and then invited our head chef Martin and the Hog Roast Chesterfield team to cater a summery surprise! This ended up being a bespoke menu with dishes taken from our various menus and dining styles. For example, we had our Texas style BBQ beef brisket from our southern slow roast menu joining up with our gourmet sausages from our BBQ range. We had our signature hog roast accompanied by our marinated chicken thighs; veggie and vegan sausages along with our BBQ pulled jackfruit. In all, much like the party being for two, our dining was a joint effort of multiple menus. To round out this brilliant bespoke range, we also had fresh fries with a medley of sweet potato and regular, creamy red cabbage coleslaw, and cooling Greek salad – much needed on a very warm day in Chesterfield.
The party was in very high spirits with everyone so excited to celebrate both Pat and Phil. The pair themselves were in rare form – the life of the party right the way through and a real delight to cater for. And if ever you thought that a 70th birthday would have nothing for the young ones, think again. Phil and Pat had also gone to the effort of hiring a bouncy castle to set up in the back of the garden to keep the various grandkids well entertained. It’s only fortunate that not too many adults tried to bounce around too after the feast that Hog Roast Chesterfield had given them!
