A Smooth Informal Buffet Service From Hog Roast Long Eaton

Recently, the Hog Roast Long Eaton team were hired by Sophie for an event she was hosting at her home in Derbyshire on the 25th May. The team provided all of their own equipment including a Hog Master machine in which they could slow roast the meat, the team also prepared and cooked all of the food onsite to ensure that all the ingredients were perfectly seasoned and cooked properly, as well as tasting fresh.

Sophie selected the Southern Slow Roast menu which featured a selection of American style spiced meats. From the variety, Sophie chose the Texan 24 hour beef brisket, fall off the bone Louisiana sticky pork ribs and Creole pulled quarter of spiced lamb. The Hog Roast Long Eaton team also served a selection of sides on the buffet table which included a Memphis style crunchy coleslaw, Greek salad, corn cobettes and Cajun spiced sweet potato wedges. Some spicy sauces were also served to compliment the meats however these were not for the faint heart and included Cajun Hot Pepper sauce and the Jack Daniels smokey sweet BBQ glaze. To keep the buffet casual, the team also served a selection of bread rolls and wraps. The food was also served on disposable crockery to ensure that the service was really easy to clear away afterwards.

The buffet was served to 35 guests at an intimate gathering for a garden party. The Hog Roast Long Eaton team’s Catering Manager, Martin, also delivered a really smooth buffet service and carved the meat by hand. Sophie thought that he did a fantastic job and adapted to the situation really well as she had to change the location of the cooking on the day. She thought that his catering assistant, Ashton, worked really hard to support his partner and was impressed by their efforts. She received some fantastic feedback from her guests and everyone thought the food was really tasty and of great quality. She also wanted to personally thank Martin because he created a really great atmosphere and was a pleasure to host, while Martin himself was really proud of his service.
