Alison is a mother and grandmother who is renowned in her family for hosting excellent birthday celebrations and baking delicious cakes. She turned 50 in February and was unable to celebrate in style due to lockdown restrictions. Instead, her children arranged a postponed celebration during June, hosted at their parents’ garden in Derby. Hog Roast Alfreton had been asked to provide some delicious BBQ catering for the 30 guests in attendance. As well as the main course, we were also asked to provide some tasty dessert options to accompany the birthday cake made by the family.
For the main course, we provided a variety of delicious barbequed dishes, including beef burgers, gourmet sausages, chicken kebabs, marinated spareribs, and vegetable skewers. This is a great menu since it includes so many dishes, with something for guests of all ages to enjoy. The mains were accompanied by sweet potato fries, home style chips, homemade coleslaw, seasonal vegetables, and salad dishes.
Following on from the main course, we provided fresh fruit salad and sticky toffee pudding. These were delicious accompaniments for the birthday cake made by Alison’s children. Overall, the party was a great celebration of Alison’s life, surrounded by her closest friends and family. Not only this, but it was a great way to reunite with loved ones after being separated through lockdown.
