This summer, Hog Roast Rosliston was hired to provide catering for a family that is hosting their annual gathering with a barbeque. The Lewis’ aim to meet with their extended family every summer to catch up on the previous year and to enjoy a great day out together. This summer, they chose to enjoy a delicious barbeque from Hog Roast Rosliston at one of their family homes in Derbyshire. This would give them plenty of opportunities to chat, as well as a lovely garden for enjoying the sunshine. Our catering manager Martin thought that our Gourmet BBQ menu was ideal for this occasion as it includes dishes for everyone to enjoy, including people of all ages.
On the day of the gathering, Martin and the Hog Roast Rosliston team arrived early at the venue, giving us plenty of time to prepare for the 4:00pm mealtime. He began by preparing the main dishes, which included succulent pork sausages, juicy British beef burgers, marinated chicken kebabs, BBQ spareribs, and halloumi and vegetable skewers. The main dishes were served in fresh bread rolls, alongside crunchy coleslaw, corn cobettes, homemade chips, sweet potato fries, and seasonal salad dishes. Overall, this included something for every guest to enjoy and more than enough to go around. Our menu was a great addition to the day and went down a treat with the guests. It provided a great talking point and something for everyone to bond over.
