In April, Hog Roast Leek catered at a beautiful wedding reception for Cara and Harry. During the planning stage of the event, Cara contacted our catering manager Martin to discuss menu options for the event. The couple was in need of a menu that would be ideal for 100 guests to enjoy, including vegetarian and gluten-free guests. All of our menus can be made accessible to all, but the couple decided that our Southern slow-roast menu was perfect for the occasion. This is a delicious and versatile menu that always goes down a treat at large events, so we were more than happy to get involved!
On the day of the event, the Hog Roast Leek team arrived at Horton village hall with plenty of time to prepare for the 20:30 mealtime. We began by preparing the main dishes, which included beef brisket, pork ribs, and whole-roasted chicken. Each dish needed to be slow-roasted to perfection to ensure that it was packed full of natural juices and flavours. Alongside the mains, we also served grilled vegetable and halloumi skewers, corn cobettes, mac and cheese, homemade chips, bread rolls, and gluten-free rolls. This menu included something for every guest to enjoy and plenty to go around, it was great to see our catering going down so nicely and our menu was the perfect addition to a wonderful wedding day.
