Hog Roast Belper has been contacted by Allisa, who works at a university in Derbyshire as part of the admissions board. Part of her role is to help organise open days to showcase the university and attract new students. Alongside the academic side of the day, it is also important to show off the fun side of university life, which is why there are also plenty of non-academic activities taking place on the day. To further help create a relaxed atmosphere, Hog Roast Belper has been hired to cater for the occasion
with one of our delicious buffet menus. After looking through the options that we can provide, it was decided that our catering manager Martin would be on hand to serve a classic hog-roast at the event, alongside a tasty meat-free alternative.
On the day of the event, the Hog Roast Belper team will arrive at the venue in the morning and prepare for the midday serving time. We will begin by slow-roasting the hog and allowing it over five hours to roast to perfection. Once ready, it will be expertly carved and served in fresh bread rolls, alongside sage and onion stuffing, homemade applesauce, and crispy crackling. For meat-free guests, we will also be providing BBQ pulled jackfruit, which is a delicious alternative to pulled pork. The mains will be served alongside homemade chips and a selection of fresh salad dishes, creating a varied and nutritious buffet lunch. Overall, we are expecting this menu to go down a treat at the event since it will provide a well-deserved break from checking out the university.
