Saturday saw a celebration of the marriage of Mr and Mrs Kennings on the outskirts of Bakewell, Derbyhire and there couldn’t have been a more perfect setting.
A marquee in the family gardens was dressed to perfection with long trestle tables, wooden picnic style chairs and stunning, bright flowers. Guests arrived to a champagne and canape reception before a blessing of their marriage on the balcony. After a pre-dinner quiz the hog roast was served to the table on wooden platters for guests to help themselves to the platters of succulent pork, tasty stuffing, apple sauce and crackling. Served with hot buttered new potatoes, tomato and mozzarella salad, spring green leaf salad and coleslaw. Portions were plentiful and feedback wonderful.
A dessert buffet followed including of course the legendary bakewell tart and a traditional Peruvian dessert. A really relaxed day but with guests most certainly very well looked after. A big congratulations to the happy couple.
