Hog Roast Linton- Virtual Birthday Celebration

Throughout the pandemic, Hog Roast Linton has witnessed inspiring levels of creativity from our clients. And even now, as lockdown nears its end, people have been continuing to surprise us with their unique celebration ideas.

Just last Saturday, for example, we received an unusual request from Jennifer, who queried if it would be possible for us to deliver one of our succulent, slow-roasted pigs in honour of her dad, Michael’s 65th birthday. Now, I know what you’re probably thinking. What was so strange about that request, right? Well, with all of the intended participants living in separate households, and therefore unable to meet up in person, it meant that this birthday party had to be taken online!

For the Hog Roast Linton team, this meant delivering our tasty hog roast rolls, not just to one, or even two different households, but five! The good news is our crew’s reputation for having excellent time management skills precedes them, which allowed us to handle Jennifer’s booking with no slip-ups.

Hog Roast LintonWith 16 people in total to feed, the catering crew wasted no time in making a start on the evening meal, which on this occasion comprised of mouth-watering slow-roasted pork butt with accompanying sides of crunchy crackling, sage and onion stuffing, sweet applesauce, light and leafy salads, zesty slaw and buttery corn cobettes with a generous mountain of loaded fries to finish. With everything being homemade, Hog Roast Linton started working on the feast hours before the drop-off period, giving themselves plenty of time to get prepared.

By late afternoon, the catering team had finished cooking the glorious spread, and after carefully packing it into boxes, they split up to tackle their deliveries.

Jennifer and the rest of the family all received their meal on time, and still steaming hot, which meant all there was left for them to do was log onto Zoom and enjoy their virtual dinner party.

We’ve since heard back from the client who let us know the day went amazingly, and their hope is that when lockdown lifts, they can get together and enjoy a Hog Roast Linton special in person!
