In January, Hog Roast Alfreton was hired to cater for a corporate event taking place in Derbyshire. The event was hosted by a company called Recital, to celebrate being two years free of accidents in the workplace. To celebrate the occasion, our team was hired to provide a delicious lunch for the 60 staff members to enjoy, including a gluten and meat-free alternative. Our catering manager Martin was contacted by Tammie regarding this event and we were more than happy to get involved!
On the day of the meal, the Hog Roast Alfreton team arrived at the Recital venue, located at Clever Nook Industrial Park. For the meal, we began by preparing our main dishes, which included a delicious slow-roasted hog and grilled vegetable and halloumi skewers. The mains were served alongside fresh bread rolls, sage and onion stuffing, crispy crackling, and homemade applesauce. For the side dishes, we provided a selection of seasonal salad dishes, homemade chips, and sweet potato fries. When the serving time arrived, we served the menu buffet style on bamboo cutlery and crockery. This was the ideal level of formality for this event and allowed us to serve all of the guests efficiently. The menu went down a treat and it was great to see the guests enjoying what we had to offer. It was a lot of fun catering for this event and the Hog Roast Alfreton was happy to have been hired!
