On the 29th of June, Hog Roast Smallwood catered for a brilliant birthday party to celebrate Peter’s son’s 21st birthday. This was one of the most special events that we have catered for yet, since we also served a menu at a party 21 years ago the celebrate his birth. It was amazing to be invited back to cater for this milestone birthday and it was an incredible honour to be a part of both of these events. For the catering, our manager Martin was hired to serve a buffet lunch for 30 guests to enjoy. it was decided that our classic hog roast would be ideal, since it is a simple yet incredibly delicious menu.
On the day of the party, the Hog Roast Smallwood team arrived at Bears Head Farm in the morning and got to work on setting up our catering station. We began our food prep by slow-roasting the hog and allowing it to cook to perfection for around five hours. Once it was ready, the succulent pork was carved by our chef and served with fresh bread rolls, homemade applesauce, crispy crackling, and sage and onion stuffing. Additionally, we provided a fresh Greek salad, homemade chips, and sweet potato fries. Our menu was a great addition to the event and we can’t wait to see what else Peter and his family will achieve in the future!
