With a rare hot weekend in our sights, our lovely 
wedding customers certainly got lucky last weekend as Mr Sunshine made a welcomed appearance! The team at Spitting Pig Derbyshire had the perfect summer wedding with an intimate 50 cover event, with the guests enjoying a slow 8 hour cooked pig, as they relaxed and enjoyed the beautiful weather with their friends and family.
The weather wasn’t the only thing to be hot, with delicious hog roast Ashby-de-la-Zouch pulled pork and slow roasted lamb on the menu plus some spicy potato wedges and salad to compliment the tasty meat! Hog roast Ashby-de-la-Zouch was the location of the event, in the grounds of the old ruined castle, the day ran like a dream. The guests eat until they couldn’t manage another bite and our team served drinks, and desserts to finish the spread. In between, the guests had lots of fun playing outdoor games and even a fun cricket match to keep the guests entertained, it was fantastic to watch! Once the plates were clean, we cleared up and left the guests dancing the night away to a jazz singer and DJ. A great day was had by all and as the sun set we left them too it. The parting comment was the best man’s request for our business card for his wedding next year, a clear sign of success!
