This is the first time we have used a catering company for a party and we are so pleased that we did. The food and presentation was excellent and guests with food allergies and special dietary requirements had all their questions answered and expectations met. The team were happy, friendly and completely self/sufficient including washing up and removal of all waste. We were able to relax and enjoy the party.

Martin was fantastic - his communication and cheerfulness made this event super easy to arrange, and the BBQ itself was carried out very professionally, with no fuss, and to a very high standard. Our event was expertly catered for by Martin and Michelle. They were very patient with our unpredicted change of start time and even endured dodging some very wet weather. The food was delicious and thoroughly enjoyed by all 31 guests. Good afternoon Britt, Thank you so much for catering for us on Saturday 12th August. Tony was our Chef and Jess assisted and served our guests. They were on time, friendly, approachable and nothing was too much trouble for them! The Pork & stuffing was excellent. Many guests commented and asked for 'The Spitting Pig Co' details for their own future events. We catered for a few vegetarian guests too, who really enjoyed the BBQ Jack fruit and Veg/Halloumi kebabs. The different breads, wraps, salads and dips were fresh and tasty too. Tony and Jess packed up the remainder of the food for us and cleared all the rubbish away- it was as if there had never been a hog roast in the garden!! Good afternoon Our event on the 29th July was a huge success. Usually we host parties a third of this size and do our own catering, which can be very stressful and time consuming especially when you want to spend most of your time with your guests. Having The Spitting Pig Co. cater for our 80 guests was incredible. From the moment they arrived, the staff were friendly and professional, getting to work with setting up and cooking in preparation for a 5pm serve time. They were very efficient, great time management and the food was fantastic, leaving everyone of my guests full and happy. The bbq food was incredible with lots of choice available and at the end of the service, the staff boxed up the leftovers for us to eat later on in the evening. They tidied up so there was no evidence of them even being there, said their goodbyes and went on their way. Overall, incredible service and amazing food. Hi Brit Just a formal thank you to Martin and the Girls Gee + 1(sorry can’t remember her name ) who were amazing In fact the whole Spitting Pig team help me to give a special party stress free. When talking thorough the details with Martin he said the team would be there at 4.30 I was early but they were waiting for me. They provided an excellent succulent hog and salmon (which went down a treat and different) and a good variety of salads. I was kept informed right throughout the evening and I am sure if I had asked them to stay a bit longer they would have done. The left over food was parcelled up and we had a nice salad lunch the following day and I did not have to worry about feeding the guests staying over. A huge thank you to Martin and the girls, from Karen & Carl for helping me have a spectacular party on the 10th June 2023

Hi Britt, We had a wonderful time thank you. Martin and his assistant couldn’t have been more helpful, he set up so discreetly that we managed to keep the Hog Roast a secret until the last minute. The pork was delicious, so succulent and the best crackling I’ve ever had, everyone enjoyed trying the jackfruit dish. The leftovers were all packed up for us, including the pigs ears for the dogs and then as if by magic all the rubbish, plates etc were tidied away as though they had never been here. We had a 90th Birthday party on 6th August - with these guys providing the hog roast. Just fabulous, food, lovely taste and quality - meat and salads and more than enough to cover our guests. Hi Penny I can’t thank you all enough. Just over two years in the planning with covid delays and boy was it worth waiting for. The food was beautifully presented and the taste was out of this world. The evening was made more special by the staff at our party. They both took the time to talk with everyone and just made us all feel really special. My daughter’s 3rd birthday party in our garden was a huge success thanks to Spitting Pig Derbyshire. All of the food was delicious, in particular the hog roast of course, and nothing was too much trouble for the chef and his staff. I would not hesitate to recommend them.

Martin and Shelley were personable, and provided exceptional service (even in the face of some initial blustery weather, and a room full of tweens!). The food not only looked appetizing, but tasted delicious – my hog roast bap and crackling was perfection. Would highly recommend to anyone looking for a hog roast/outside catering. Thank you.

Good afternoon Many apologies for it taking me so long to get back to you after our party (26 June), but I just wanted to say a massive thank you to Spitting Pig for the food, service, support, staff and everything else that went into preparing the hog roast. Due to the delay of 'freedom day', we had to host our party in several sittings and Spitting Pig accommodated this perfectly.  I'm not sure if you remember, but our party was also a fundraiser for 2 charities close to our heart (Cancer Research UK and Breast Cancer Now) and we raised over £350 for these at the event. All of the organisational stress was well worth it in the end as we were able to provide amazing food, great service and a much needed 'get together' after so long apart from friends and loved ones. I have lost count of the number of guests who have passed comment on the food, everyone was thoroughly impressed. The support I received from Martin (prior to the party) was invaluable and the 2 people who attended on the day were fabulous - friendly, professional and polite. The service we received from Martin and his colleague was second to none – in fact faultless. I got to the venue and Martin had already set up, the food was excellent and there was plenty in fact it could not all be eaten on the night. I donated it to the pub and it provided food on their quiz night – everyone loved it and there was no waste. BONUS. So many of our guests commented on the quality, taste of the food and the service your staff provided – most went up for seconds. Also everyone that had one loved the halloumi kebabs!!!! My husband and I cannot fault your service , it was brilliant, I would certainly recommend you to others and if ever we need food at an event again I will be giving you a call.

I would like to say how good the service and food was. I thoroughly professional service from start to finish. We were kept well informed all the way through. The food itself was amazing. All the guests commented on how good it looked and tasted. Very rare would you find a company who delivery on all their promises, but you did…and some. The event was great thank you! Martin’s communication was brilliant, couldn’t have asked for anything better. They arrived without it being distracting, they were great interacting with our guests and nobody actually saw them disappear! Couldn’t fault it at all, thank you very much.

Just to say that our event on the 25th May was a huge success. Martin did an absolutely fantastic job, and the fact that he had to change where he cooked on the day didn’t phase him at all. He took it all in his stride and was supported well by Ashton. The food was fantastic and I had nothing but great feedback from everyone at the party. Everyone commented on the great quality and taste. All in all it was fantastic, and special mention to martin who was a pleasure to have around for the day.

Sorry for the delay, I went straight from the summer party on site to another event, which I'm still at now! Please do pass on a big thanks to the ladies, they did a great job both setting up the stall (I loved all the flowers they brought) and serving the food. I would like to say a MASSIVE thank you to Sarah and Jack, I know it must have been a little out the norm to be serving in a factory car park in the middle of a production day but they handled it really well, they were super friendly and extremely helpful! So thank you. The whole company came out and had something to eat, and the M.D was very impressed. Contact with Spitting Pig Derby was brilliant! Every question was answered, no matter how odd! Nicki was very helpful. The quality of food was outstanding, very yummy! The service was also outstanding. The professionalism of your team was 10/10, cannot fault them! On behalf of myself and the management team of Stressline Ltd we would like to say a MASSIVE thank you for the service provided to us on Friday. For us as a company it was a first but something we would definitely consider again with the Spitting Pig.

I have to admit, based on the price, I wasn’t quite sure what we were going to get. It sounded good enough but I had some reservations on the quality of the service based on nothing more than the low cost of the catering. Well it turns out my reservations were unfounded because the catering was so much more than I expected. If you could pass on a message of thanks to the rest of the team that’d be great. Consider yourselves added to my Christmas card list.

We’ve just returned from our week in New Zealand which was amazing, and we both wanted to let you know that the buffet you provided at our wedding was fantastic. Lots of guests were talking about the food and you almost stole the attention from us! Loved the chicken roast, and all the canapés from the kebabs to the pizzas were as tasty as I’ve tasted at any other party. A sincere thanks for your invaluable contribution to a great day.

Greetings guys, it’s Chris (owner of The Black Bull), writing this to send you thanks for this evening (or yesterday when you read this). The machine was great and using it was very easy, we had lots of fun with a few different burgers and our spice rack got cleaned out from top to bottom with the chicken and lamb. All in all the event was a success and we drew in more customers than we expected. I’ll probably give you a call some time next week to discuss hiring the machine for the last Sunday of next month, and there after.
