On Saturday 18th October, Hog Roast Upper Bentley gathered for an evening celebration of togetherness and laughter which 30 years of marriage can bring. Vicky and Ron’s friends and family gathered to raise a glass to mark their 30th wedding anniversary and what better way to mark the occasion than with a feast fit for the happy couple?
Hog Roast Upper Bently are renowned for their crowd-pleasing events that bring people together over delicious food and this event was no different! Led by our friendly catering manager Martin, the team catered for 100 hungry guests, of course the centerpiece of the feast was a whole roasted hog, slow roasted on site for hours and paired with golden crackling, sage and onion stuffing and a generous serving of sweet apple sauce.
Guests could personalise their plates with freshly baked bread rolls and wraps which were also gluten-free on request and to compliment the roast, there were a range of tasty sides on offer too. This included a tomato and mozzarella salad, a crisp mixed salad and creamy coleslaw. For our carb lovers (who isn’t?) There was a selection of freshly made chips or sweet potato fries, served up with salt and vinegar and a selection of sauces to dip into.

e. Grilled vegetable skewers either with or without halloumi for our vegetarian and vegan guests, which will be served up alongside soft wraps, tzatziki and sweet chilli sauce for that extra bit of flavour.
It was an honour to be a part of a celebration of a strong partnership, as the evening progressed it was clear that this was much more than just an anniversary dinner, it was a way to bring family and friends together. Our guests reminisced on thirty years of memories, shared laughter and even a dance.
With our catering team taking care of the food and service, Vicky and Ron could focus on enjoying the company of the people who have been with them throughout their relationship and will be there as they continue on their journey of life together.
