With numerous people attending events, dietary requirements and tastes have to be considered fully so it’s no easy task for the organiser! Here at Spitting Pig Derbyshire we work with the clients to ensure all aspects of the catering is considered, and the ideal accompaniments are selected to go with the Hog Roast Snarestone.
We are focusing on desserts with this blog and the wonderful array of sweet treats which will perfectly follow any hog roast Snarestone. One of our most popular dessert choices this year has by far been the Sharing Bowls. With options to select from dishes such as Eton Mess, Strawberry Trifle and Tiramisu, traditional desserts such as these will always go down a treat! Other popular dishes this year have been our Sharing Platters which consist of beautifully fresh Strawberries, cream filled Profiteroles and delectable Chocolate Brownies, all covered with a Salted Caramel Sauce. Delicious!
Our out of season treats include our selection of hot desserts, such as traditional Apple Crumble, Bread and Butter pudding and Sticky Toffee Pudding, of course all served with our homemade Custard! What could be better than to end your pork baps with a delicious hot treat! Our Fruits of the Forest or Peach Cobbler are also options to be considered.
Whatever your tastes, we have something for everyone and if your bellies are already full after the Hog Roast, something light and easy such as Mini Cakes, Homemade Cookies or Fruit Skewers would be perfect. But our personal favourite for the smaller treats are the individual canape desserts as per our picture, tiny treats of Strawberry Trifle, what could be better!
