Regardless of the formality of the special occasion you have in mind or are organising right now, Hog Roast Buxton can help you to create a feast fit for kings. We have a variety of menus available, but we’re also happy for you to mix and match items between menus if needed, in order to create the menu that you’ve been dreaming of, whether you’re hosting a birthday party, christening, wedding or corporate event, or anything in-between. We’ve spent years pushing the boat out on behalf of you, ensuring that each and every one of our customers has a fantastic event, featuring wonderful food that has been prepared fresh, lovingly cooked at your venue and served to your guests in a professional manner.Â
We recently catered a formal wedding meal where the couple, Charlene and Nicholas, had asked Hog Roast Buxton for multiple courses, as well as canapés and drinks to start once the guests arrived at the reception. We’ll happily speak to our customers about what we can provide for as long as they need, and with this couple, we spoke to them several times in advance of the big day as they required changes to the menu. The final menu would see four courses, including various welcome canapés and glasses of bubbly served by our waiters, followed by a sit-down starter of fine smoked salmon, prawns and avocado, a traditional hog roast main course served buffet-style and then a selection of our handmade desserts served to the seated guests to finish it all off beautifully.Â
On the day of the wedding feast, our Hog Roast Buxton chef and team members arrived at the hotel venue a few hours before service. First up was the setting up of our equipment, followed by preparing the fresh, local pig and then turning the hog roast machine on so it could cook slowly at a low temperature for hours on end. Meanwhile, we had six gorgeous canapés to make, including gourmet sausages, mini pizzas, dim sum, chicken satay, halloumi kebabs and feta skewers, plus the tasty starter and puddings to make from scratch.Â
By 4pm, the happy couple and the guests started to arrive at the hotel and we got busy serving them all some bubbly, as well as lovely, fresh, homemade fare.
