This weekend we were catering for a small family gathering in Stafford. With a total of 7 events in total, we knew we were really up against it with the weather, beautiful blue skies forecast until mid afternoon and then the rain would fall…
Situated in our clients garden, the party was to celebrate a significant birthday for our clients husband and she had booked in a traditional Hog Roast Stafford plus a selection of salads for her family and friends. As usual the hog roast Stafford is cooked for around 8 hours before we arrive on site, and is finished whilst we set up our working area. That last hour in the machine really does create a fantastic crackling which we know our guests love just as much as the pork! The salads were a choice of beautifully fresh plum tomatoes with mozzarella, a mixed leaf crisp and fresh green leaf salad, herby flavoured new potatoes with butter and rosemary and finally our homemade coleslaw.
As you can see from the pictures, we always ensure our set up is neat and tidy, but also full of height and colour. Our guests always comment on the display and we always ensure it looks as good as it possibly can! Not to mention the small in house competition we have going on with our different teams for the best buffet presentation ha ha! We had nothing but positive comments from our guests and lady luck must have been shining on us as we were lucky enough to miss the rain. After a couple of hours on site during the afternoon, we headed back to our unit to re-load for our next event!
