With an intimate, gathering of 35 lovely guests on Saturday, we wondered if it would be a quiet, quick affair but not at all! Great fun, great people and a great event!
Our clients were celebrating a 40th birthday at a cottage location in Ashbourne and our hog roast Ashbourne took centre stage when the guests came up and helped themselves to delicious pork cobs, homemade apple sauce and a section of salads. At Spitting Pigs Derbyshire we never underestimate the importance of the quality of the ingredients we use. The pig being the primary item is therefore of paramount importance and our team always look carefully as to where we source our meat from and how the animal is raised, making it a tasty treat for all to enjoy. Our farmers, our butchers and our other suppliers are as important as the Chefs cooking the food and no cut corners mean our guests are treated to a great product.
We cooked this hog roast Ashbourne for around 8 hours until the meat was so succulent it fell of the bone and gave enough meat to serve the guests three times overs! The feedback was excellent and the customers satisfied and with enough pork for Sunday lunch the next day.
