Saturday saw us catering for a private party in the small village of Eyam. The event was to celebrate a 60th birthday and also 30 years of ‘togetherness’ as the client termed it, definitely reasons to celebrate with friends and family! The setting was the client’s stunning garden which was perfectly kept and had stunning views of the countryside, it really was ideal for a garden party! Despite the season, the air was crisp and cool, but fresh and thankfully no rain! The guests were treated to our traditional hog roast in Eyam, slow cooked for almost 9 hours, scored and salted to create the perfect crackling. We also provided sides of our fresh Tomato and Mozzarella Salad, Coleslaw, Hot New Potatoes seasoned with rock salt and rosemary, and our crisp Green Leaf Salad. We received a number of really positive comments throughout the evening regarding the hog roast in Eyam, and as the sun set it was the perfect celebration for the client and their guests. The client was so impressed with our set up and commented how pleased she was with the food and presentation. Our team were really pleased with the event and the comments, the guests were just lovely and as we packed away to return to our base, the guests partied on into the night.
