Earlier this year, Hog Roast Fulbourn was hired to cater for a family meal taking place at a beautiful log cabin in the countryside. The family is staying at the cabin for a holiday and has hired Hog Roast Fulbourn to cater their Sunday lunch to give everyone in the family the chance to relax and unwind. We have plenty of menus that are perfect for this occasion and our team is on hand to prep, cook, and clean our catering station, leaving you to make the most of the food and company! Our classic hog roast menu was chosen for this occasion, with a few additional dishes to ensure that it has plenty for everyone to enjoy.
On the day of the event, the Hog Roast Fulbourn team arrived at the cabin in the morning and set up our catering station on the grass outside. We began our food prep by slow-roasting the hog and ensuring that it had over five hours to roast to perfection. Once ready, the meat was carved by our chef and served alongside sage and onion stuffing, homemade applesauce, and crispy crackling. Additionally, we provided succulent pork sausages and veggie sausages to ensure that there was a main dish for everyone to enjoy. The mains were accompanied by roasted baby potatoes, seasonal vegetables, and homemade gravy, creating a nutritious and delicious Sunday lunch.
