When our Hog Roast Uttoxeter team catered a corporate event recently, we fed more than a hundred guests plenty of delicious, homemade food that we had put together using fresh, local, quality ingredients. While our hog roasts are famous and deservedly so, we also cook so much more, including spit-roasted animals and birds, barbecues and vegetarian dishes. We have options for all kinds of other diets too, and can help you to create your own menu with starters, mains, desserts and side dishes as well.
For this particular function, we were asked to cook our amazing Hog Roast Uttoxeter Southern Slow Roast Menu, which is becoming increasingly popular with our customers. If you want variety and choice, this menu is perfect, and that’s because you choose three meat dishes from a list of five, as well as four sides from a possible seven. Our marinated meats include barbecued pork, whole roasted chickens, beef brisket, spiced lamb and sticky pork ribs, and the accompanying dishes include two types of salad, our homemade coleslaw, corn on the cob, mac and cheese, skin-on jacket potatoes and spicy sweet potato wedges, and a vegetarian option of veggie skewers too. There is so much on offer here with this menu that it’s just about guaranteed that there’s something for everyone.
For this particular corporate party, organised for warehouse employees, Jim called us several weeks ago to book our catering services, with the venue being the business premises themselves. Our highly-trained Hog Roast Uttoxeter chef and assistants headed to the venue on Friday and set up our gazebo, serving table and hog roast machines, which we actually use to cook much more than hog and spit roasts. We had brought along the three pre-marinated meats of lamb, ribs and beef, which we set cooking low and slow – at a low temperature and slowly, for a good few hours, until the meat would fall off the bone and melt in the mouth.
Nearer the time of service, we prepared the side dishes of a Greek salad, a seasonal green leaf salad, coleslaw and wedges, prepared the serving table with our tasty sauces and condiments, as well as plenty of fresh bread rolls, and got ready for the hungry guests to dig in.
