Not that it happens very often, but during our quiet times at Spitting Pig Derbyshire it allows us the chance to gather our thoughts, re-focus and make some plans. February is always the quietest month for us but it gives us a chance to think about the summer period which of course is by far the busiest. Our kitchen team have been working on some new additional menus for us to offer, including a wide range of salad and potato options which is a fantastic addition to any hog roast. We have the time to review our equipment, ensuring we have enough hog roast machines and supporting equipment to allow us to take multiple bookings at any one time. We review our staffing levels to ensure everyone in the team is fully trained, complaint and ready for service at any given moment. We also ensure all of our Spitting Pig paperwork is up to date, accurate and can be used by any member of the team. We make things as easy as possible for our staff but always ensure the exact same high standards of service is given for any of our clients. We have a fantastic reputation throughout Derbyshire and are based at our unit which is owned by our parent company Saffron Catering. Our unit is a fantastic space and lends itself to being flexible enough to hold a variety of stock, equipment and storage with is multiple outbuildings. We’ve just added another outbuilding to the premises which is now the base for our Sales/Admin team and this has helped the dynamics massively as they are away from the hustle and bustle of the kitchen team who are always manically busy!
Work will continue behind the scenes as the bookings continue to come in and we are ready for another fantastic season of hog roasting!
