We were booked in to cater an engagement locally recently,so our Hog Roast Matlock chef and assistants arrived at the venue hours before service in order to set up our equipment and start cooking the food. Our customers, John and Angie, had asked us to roast a hog to make our delicious pigs in buns, and to provide additional options too, including a vegetarian dish. Regardless of personal taste or dietary needs, we ensure that everyone gets to eat our lovely food, and on this day we would be making stuffed mushrooms for the vegetarian, as well as new potatoes with herbs and jacket potatoes for all the guests to eat too. Our hog roast machines act like conventional ovens, so while the meat is roasting away at the top of the machine, the potatoes cook separately to the meat, which means they can be enjoyed by the veggie guests too.

While the hog was sizzling in its own juices, we got on with preparing the potatoes and stuffed mushrooms to be cooked, slicing the bread rolls ready for the pigs in buns, and getting plenty of apple sauce and sage and onion stuffing ready to serve. We always provide plenty of condiments, as well as serviettes of course, because our hog roast rolls are crammed with juicy meat and often with sauce, so you need to be prepared!

Hog Roast Matlock cooked a feast to be proud of at John and Angie’s engagement, and by the looks on the guests’ faces, it was enjoyed by all.
