It was so windy on Sunday morning as we headed to an event. We had been up bright and early and heading to Fiona and Mike’s to cater for their little bundle of joys christening! The event had been booked months ago and the couple were really looking forward to tying our Hog Roast Cartledge and we were keen as always to impress.
When we arrived the couple greeted us and they showed us to the huge outbuilding they were holding the party in it was very spacious and we had lots of space to cater from. We placed the pig on the machine and scored the skin to create the prefect crackling. As the meat cooked we then began to make some side dishes a crunchy salad, some creamy coleslaw and an assortment of dips. Our chefs then started to chop some potatoes and covered them in a coating of herbs; these go down really well and we made a lovely dressing for the potatoes too. Then it was time to cover the tables in our freshly baked food we bake all our own food and for the party we had brought some sausage rolls, pizza and quiche along with some lovely fresh buns and wraps. We brought with us a tray of deserts that we had made some trifles and cupcakes- plenty of selection for everyone.
As the party arrived back from the Church we were ready to serve and everyone couldn’t resist a closer look at the Hog Roast Cartledge! We removed the crunchy crackling and cut it into slices then our chef carved the juicy white meat so tender and succulent and everyone was amazed at the taste and texture as most people think pork is dry and we can’t stress enough if it is cooked correctly then shouldn’t be. The guests were telling us that they had never tasted pork like it and asking how we do it here at Hog Roast Cartledge? We told them that the credit must go to our state of the art hog roasting machines, which do all the hard work for us. The couple were so thankful to us and the baby was an absolute angel!
