Christmas Might Be Over But Hog Roast MelbourneIsn’t Done Reminiscing The Good Times!

hog roast MelbourneChristmas is the one day of the year that we all spend weeks (or months!) preparing for. But even with all of the build-up and excitement that comes hand-in-hand with this special holiday, it always feels like the celebrations are over so fast!

Every year, we find ourselves surprised by just how quickly the holiday season is over – and we know that lots of you probably feel the same way. So even though we’ve entered a brand new year, we thought we’d keep the festive feeling going by sharing what fun Hog Roast Melbourne had over Christmas!

As always, the whole month of December was incredibly busy for us as we had lots of people to impress with our popular meal plans. But one event that really stands out to us was the one we attended on Christmas Day!

Our clients, Jaqueline and Richard, had hired us to serve a bespoke version of our Full Festive Menu to their 50 guests. They had placed their booking months in advance, which gave them loads of time to iron out the details of their celebration with our catering manager, Martin.

When the big day arrived, Hog Roast Melbourne followed many winding country roads until they reached Jaqueline and Richard’s grand estate. We were told that the impressive manor house has been in the family for over a century, so it’s where everyone descends for important events.

Hog Roast MelbourneAfter giving themselves a moment to take in the truly astounding scenery, the Hog Roast Melbourne crew rushed inside to set up our catering equipment in the spacious dining room. Several hours later, the house was abuzz with lively chatter from the guests, and Martin and the gang had laid out a gorgeous-smelling buffet, which centred around our whole-roasted turkey with cranberry sauce and stuffing.

Homemade cauliflower cheese, seasonal vegetables, pigs in blankets, roasties and gravy were served in chafing dishes for the guests to help themselves. As well as this, Hog Roast Melbourne had prepared some pre-dinner nibbles and a buffet of filled champagne and wine glasses (or orange juice for the kids!).

The food couldn’t have been better received, and after everyone had polished off their plates, Hog Roast Melbourne started clearing away the mess while the guests tucked into our homemade mince pies and profiteroles.

We’re so grateful that Jaqueline and Richard gave our caterers a chance to shine, and we are thrilled to say that they’ve already asked us to come back again next Christmas!
