Bramley’s sophisticated 17th-century manor house hotel, Hellaby Hall is a popular wedding venue for betrothed couples looking to add an air of elegance and poise to their big day. In preparation for a ceremony which took place recently, the building’s wedding co-ordinator got in contact with Hog Roast Chesterfield’s customer service team about providing a delicious menu for 100 people. With years of experience under his apron, catering manager Martin was placed in charge of the day, and after discussing our available options which aim to suit all wedding styles and budgets with the client, it was decided that our classic hog roast menu would be the best fit for the wedding theme.
Excitement was already in the air when Hog Roast Chesterfield arrived at the reception venue in the late evening where Martin and the catering team quickly got started on preparing our famous hog roast menu which has remained a firm favourite among our customers for years. Using our Hog Master Pro, the crew effortlessly cooked up an array of succulent meats including a slow roasted pig with apple sauce, stuffing and crispy crackling, locally sourced free-range chicken with stuffing and homemade onion gravy, sirloin of roast beef, meaty marinated ribs, gourmet sausages and rosemary seasoned spring lamb. Despite what our name might suggest, meat isn’t the only thing we have to offer, and the vegetarians and vegans in attendance at this event were certainly not forgotten about. Those following plant-based diets had the option of grilled vegetable or grilled vegetable and haloumi skewers which were a huge hit – even with meat-eaters!
Adventurous guests made use of the selection of fresh gluten-free rolls by creating their own snack in a roll using the juicy meats, condiments and sauces that the Hog Roast Chesterfield team had whipped up. There was plenty of food to go around, and many of the guests helped themselves to second (and third!) helpings but best of all, the newlyweds were very impressed with the catering menu and service that the Hog Roast Chesterfield team offered which helped make their big day even more special.
