This week Hog Roast Mickleover had been enlisted by our client Susan to come and cater at her home in Mickleover for her husband’s fiftieth birthday celebrations. With a large group of friends and plenty of relatives it was set to be a brilliant event and we couldn’t wait to get started on the planning process.
Susan mentioned she and her husband had enjoyed one of our Hog Roast Mickleover’s previously at a friend of theirs events but this time they wanted to push the boat out even further and serve up something completely different. Hence, when Susan came across our Southern Slow Roast menu, she knew straight away that she just had to try it!
Hog Roast Mickleover catering manager Martin was in charge of organising the event catering and had a large menu ahead of him. With the Southern Slow Roast you get the choice of three different meats each roasted low and slow in our secret recipe marinades so that each bite is just as wholesome and full of flavour as the next. Susan had poured over the menu for some time before deciding on her options for the party. In the end she chose our Texan 24 Hour Beef Brisket, Cajun Spiced Whole Roast Chickens and Creole Pulled Quarter of Spiced Lamb for an awesome flavour combination. All of this would be served with a Greek salad, sweet potato wedges, mac n cheese and lots of crunchy coleslaw. With the menu agreed upon all we had to do was count down to the day itself…
