Hog Roast Repton Made This Christening Extra Special

The Christening of a baby is a very special moment for many families, and looking to give their little girl a spectacular day that everyone will be able to look back on with fond memories in years to come, new parents, Laura and Simon got in touch with the Hog Roast Repton customer service team. After outlining their requirements for the day, the happy couple were passed through to our expert catering manager Martin who has been in charge of plenty of similar events over the years.

Hog Roast Repton Planning to use their back garden as the reception venue for the 55 people set to attend the big day, Martin suggested our private party menu 3 which offers a relaxed and informal style menu with plenty of mouth-watering food to go around, crockery of the clients choosing, tablecloths, napkins and a hands-on catering crew. The pair agreed with Martin that the package fit their vision for the day perfectly and after tweaking the menu a little bit, they were eager to see the outcome. With the reception in the capable hands of the Hog Roast Repton team, Laura and Simon were able to focus themselves on the main event that was just around the corner.

Headed by Martin, the Hog Roast Repton catering team made their way to the couple’s home in Burton on Trent in the late morning where they quickly began making preparations for the 4:15 pm serving time. After setting up their gazebo to shield themselves and the food from the late-summer sunshine (and any potential downpours!), the team laid out the eco-friendly wooden bamboo crockery and cutlery, napkins and gluten-free rolls while the free-range meats slow roasted in our Hog Master machine.

When the proud parents returned home with their newly Christened baby girl and their 50-something guests, they were very impressed by the spread that the catering crew had been working on all day. The hog roast was now a delicious golden brown colour with perfectly crispy crackling and was ready to be served up with the apple sauce, stuffing, jacket potato wedges and a selection of colourful salads. The team had also whipped up a meat-free alternative of homemade grilled vegetable skewers with optionable haloumi which quickly became popular among all of the guests!
